Tahini Glazed Banana Bread

Every so often, a grand idea pops up… Sometimes they work; sometimes they’re absolute kitchen disasters. This particular idea worked wonderfully; and I think banana bread may just never ever be the same after you try this one!

This particular recipe is inspired by my pretty fierce angel, grandma Jeannnette, who lost a brave battle to this pandemic exactly two weeks ago. She was the indisputable hummus, tahini, and za’atar queen. My Jeannette cooked with such grace and warmth; feeding an army of grandkids each time. Everything she touched just fell into place so perfectly and effortlessly. She will be missed every day; but most importantly- she will be remembered every day. Whenever I step into the kitchen to create; she’s in my heart and thoughts each time. Forever.

Healthy Peanut Butter Banana Bread!

Where you even in quarantine if you didn’t bake banana bread? That, my friends, is the obvious question. All jokes aside, banana bread took over the food space like no other recipe coulda, shoulda, woulda. It was virtually everywhere, and I am not mad about it… It’s ubiquitous for multiple reasons: easy pantry staples, everyone’s got spotty bananas they want to save from perdition, and you don’t need to be a seasoned baker to get this one right. ALL you need is basic ingredients; a bowl or two, an oven, and the coffee or tea to go along with it. p.s. this one is a little EXTRA. It involves good old peanut butter- which is perhaps the best sidekick banana bread could ever find! You will love.

Buckwheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

I find it SO hard to exercise any level of self-restraint when faced with a freshly-baked batch of cookies. The luring aroma, the melted chocolate chunks, the appeal of biting into a warm cookie paired with a cold glass of almond milk or a warm, foamy latte is to me, one of the greatest simple pleasures in this life. These cookies offer a healthier spin on the classic chocolate chip variety; made with naturally-gluten free buckwheat flour and sweetened with coconut sugar- you will love the taste and texture!

Greek Salad Hummus

This hummus is a little extra because I decided to Greek it up, AKA decorate it too look pretty and make it even more dip-able. Is that a word? It should be. Because the noun is a very real thing. The best appetizers are dip-able. Or, dippable? Anywho- you get exactly what I’m trying to say. Try this, you’ll get exactly why I’m obsessed with this bowl of hummus topped with feta, black olives, organic cucumbers, cherry tomatoes & a drizzle of sumac and olive oil.

Easy Green Curry!

Green Curry is like the fun, crazy uncle figure of curries. We all have one, if you know what I mean… He’s sassy, unapologetic, has no filter, is slightly spicy and either makes us LOL or run. Or both. Green curry is exactly like that. It has personality. It has flavor. It has depth. It is bold and has a fun kick to it that makes it memorable. And, the recipe is here because you guys asked for it. It’s delicious, ready in a whim, tastes better the next day, and involves no dairy or gluten. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
